WHAT IS AT EASE?

AT EASE is a comprehensive collection of guided imagery drills to support stress, pain and sleep concerns.
It was developed based on feedback from users from all walks of life and those who served in combat environments.
It is a targeted, self –administered and portable tool to help interrupt the stress response and to enhance performance.
At Ease contains integrated principles derived from biofeedback and guided imagery to build stress resiliency.
It is designed to interrupt the stress response by reducing the hyperactivity of the sympathetic nervous system and stimulate the relaxation response. This experience can promote a sense of well being, reduce physical pain, as well as support healthy sleep cycles. 100% drug free, At Ease uses the power of the mind to invite the listener to visualize positive images in order to bring about a desired response such as a reduction in stress, worry, or pain.
Athletes do this automatically – by visualizing the outcome they want, they prepare themselves to succeed. What we imagine with our senses and our thoughts triggers the brain to respond as if it were actually happening.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Activation of the fight/flight freeze response arouses the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system. Staying in this state for an extended period of time can have negative physiological and emotional effects. Stress-inoculation training is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that teaches techniques to manage and reduce stress, such as breathing, muscle relaxation and positive self-talk.
Guided imagery counters the progression of the stress response and reduces hyperactivity of the sympathetic nervous system by teaching controlled, easy, effortless deep breathing followed by physical relaxation of the muscles as well as the optimization of mental imagery.
Guided imagery grows in intensity the more you use it– it’s like muscle memory for your brain. It even works for “power-naps” ; you can expect to "wake up" rested, positive and confident to tackle whatever crisis is erupting.
